Hoo Marshes Landscape and Wildlife Photography Workshop

The marshes of Hoo St. Werburgh sit on the estuary of the River Medway.

Home to an abundance of coastal wildlife throughout the year.  Little egret's and Brent geese are often spotted along with crows and black headed gulls.

Close to the Hoo Marina are many old boats and wrecks which make for an excellent photographic opportunity along with the marshland reeds.

This workshop is suitable for photographers of all abilities from beginners to advanced with both DSLR and smartphone cameras.

A great opportunity to get out and meet like minded people.  Advice will be given on composition and camera settings, along with how to use the weather conditions of the day to your advantage.

We will start the workshop by taking a slow walk along the coastal path photographing the birdlife on the Estuary.  Looking at the best way to achieve a good wildlife shot.

We will then turn our attention to landscape photography, working on composition, light and exposure to capture the moment.

Workshop classes will be kept to a maximum of 10 participants.  To get the best use of the Workshop you should know how to change the basic settings on your camera.  This includes, ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture.  You don't need to know in advance what to set them to in order to get an accurate exposure.  I would suggest booking a 1 to 1 prior to this workshop if you are not sure how to change these.  All camera menu's vary and it can take me a while to work out how these settings are selected on different models.

Public transport - The nearest train station is at Strood, which is 5 miles from the meet up point.  I can give you a lift from the station in my car.  Number of passengers will be limited to 4 so please check with me before booking.

Cost is £50 for the 3 hour session which is payable in advance to secure booking

My refund policy has currently been relaxed due to the Corona Virus outbreak.  If you feel unwell or have to self isolate prior or on the day, I will either re-book you for another date or give you a full refund.
